When they receive news that Metroman is missing, Roxanne offers to investigate, and Megamind expresses concern for her safety. If necessary, Minion will protect Megamind even from himself as when he saw his master abandon his purpose from a villain by going out on a date with Roxanne Ritchi, Minion steps out of his place by hiding the keys from him and physically standing in his way.ĭespite his kind nature, Minion is not necessarily a quick forgiver as he tricked an apology out of Megamind before letting him out of prison whilst disguised as the warden instead of immediately releasing him due to his previous harsh words toward him. Roxanne expresses her belief that Megamind is not a monster and that he is doing good for the city while Megamind struggles with his past and partially self-imposed parole. Secondly, when Megamind unveiled his plans to create a new hero to fight, Minion verbally voiced concern regarding his plan to create a being rivalling the powers of Metro Man as opposed to where he would keep his reservations about Megamind's harebrained evil schemes to himself. When Metro Man was killed and Megamind, drowned in his own victory, proceeds to boast about this, he claims that it was a team effort between the two. During this period, Minion was clearly more fulfilled over causing mayhem than Megamind was due to understanding that the battles between good and evil revolved around the other side becoming triumphant whereas, after discovering Megamind was unfulfilled without having a hero to fight, became visually disturbed over this realisation.Įven though his purpose in life was to protect and serve Megamind, Minion noticeably has reservations outside of his master's actions and ego. Even so, Minion has committed a number of fairly evil acts in Megamind's name amongst them his jocular reaction at Metro Man's death and how the two caused a rampage throughout Metro City after his demise. Opposed to his narcissistic boss, Minion is considerably more humble and polite but retains his villainous status nevertheless his lack of sheer antagonism. Minion decided he should make Megamind feel better. He loves Megamind, but Megamind is bored because he missed Metro Man, everyone's biggest hero. In the present, he calls Megamind "sir." He and Megamind used Hal Stewart as the hero-turned-villain, Titan. He is voiced by David Cross, who also voiced Crane from Kung Fu Panda. You fantastic fish, you” ―Megamind to Minion He shows his good side in dancing at the end of the film.“ Oh, Minion. Warden is very stern but a good person nonetheless. Warden has blue eyes and used to have brown hair and a brown mustache, but turned grey with age. The Warden is seen again at the end of the movie, dancing with two guards as they watch, amused, Hal dancing in Megamind's old cell. When Megamind turns himself in to the prison, Warden handcuffs him and is later seen wishing good luck to Megamind and Minion when they go to save Roxanne and the city from Tighten. The Warden, as well as the guards who also were trapped with him, witnessed Megamind and Metro Man's battle, as well as the latter's apparent death, much to their dismay. Two guards, believing that Megamind had escaped, tazed and dragged him to Megamind's cell and while the Warden was being cuffed to the cell's chair, the real Megamind snatched his watch back and escaped disguised as the Warden, leaving the real Warden locked in his cell. Believing it to be an ordinary watch given to Megamind by Metro Man, the holo-watch recorded the Warden's appearance and disguised him as Megamind. The day of Megamind and Metro Man's last battle, The Warden (unwittingly) played an important role in Megamind's escape by keeping Megamind's holo-watch. According to the newspapers seen after Megamind was being carted off to prison, the Warden showed no empathy towards Megamind and looked down to him because of his appareance. A few years later, Warden was able to get him to attend a school for gifted children to get him to socialize with other children but failed miserably, mainly thanks to another alien boy who also attended the school and bullied young Megamind. Warden first appeared when he went to stop the prison break that a toddler Megamind caused and just in time to prevent him from escaping.
